General
Participants must be in a good overall state of health. All participants are obliged to inform the instructors in good time of any special physical or health problems.
Board and lodging
If mentioned “inkl. Übernachtung und Halbpension” your accomodation is included with breakfast and dinner (half board). You are responsible for your own accommodation and food for earlier arrival or later stay. The Engadin offers a wide range of hotels, vacation apartments and restaurants. We are delighted to help with your reservation. Some of our more extended trips include overnight stay as a group.
Transport
Course/tour fees do not include transport. We recommend public transport as in Switzerland trains and buses work very fine. If possible, we are also happy to help arrange car-sharing. During courses and tours we use either our minibus or public transport. Participants with Swiss Railway reductions or season tickets should bring proof of entitlement.
Registration and payment
Registration or cancellation must both be in writing, via either post, our website, mail or fax. Receipt of registration and payment admits to the course/tour in question. Where timing necessitates acceptance of verbal registration, this is equally binding.
Cancellation by participants
Cancellation must be in writing, and is valid from the day of receipt. The cancellation fee up to 21 days before a course/tour is CHF 50.-. With 10-20 days’ notice, cancellation costs 50% of the course/tour total. This rises to 100% for the last nine days. No cancellation fee will be levied if you provide an appropriate substitute participant. No fees will be remitted in the event of premature course/tour termination. We recommend cancellation insurance.
Cancellation by organizers
The organizers reserve the right to cancel the course or tour up to seven days before commencement, if fewer than the minimum number of participants have registered. All course fees already paid will then be refunded in full. The course/tour can, however, still take place if the participants agree to an increase in fees.
Liability
As experienced and highly-qualified guides, we provide the greatest possible level of safety on our courses/tours. We are therefore liable for their careful and responsible leadership. However, risk can never be completely excluded in trainings, on tours and on trips. By registering, you expressly acknowledge these dangers, and agree to waiver all risk-related liability or other claims on Outdoor Engadin GmbH and its representatives. This includes theft or loss of, and damage to, participants’ private property. Participants are responsible for their own accident insurance.
Unforeseen eventualities
Our tours and courses run in all weathers. Unforeseeable factors or instructor incapacity may nonetheless require us to terminate a course or tour prematurely. Such termination excludes the right to remittance of course fees. In the case of such cancellation shortly before the course, registrants receive a voucher for an alternative date.
Legal information
Contracts between participants and Swiss Trailrunning Scuol Engadin are subject to Swiss law before the court of Scuol. The German version of this text is binding.
